A licensed therapist comes to the house and evaluates you there, then writes the plan of care and sends it to your doctor to sign. You do not need a referral before you call.

Sixty minutes, one patient, one therapist, start to finish. The same therapist stays with you for the whole course of care rather than whoever is free that day.
- The disciplines
Physical, occupational, and speech therapy are all delivered by one organization, so a second need does not mean starting again with a second company.

Physical therapy
Balance and falls, strength after a hospital stay, walking distance, stairs, joint replacement recovery, Parkinson's, chronic pain. The work happens on your actual stairs, in your actual bathroom, in the shoes you actually wear.
Occupational therapy
Dressing, bathing, cooking, transfers, and the specific tasks that have started to take help. An occupational therapist looks at the task and the room together, because the room is half the problem.
Speech therapy
Swallowing, speech clarity, voice, and cognitive-communication after a stroke or with dementia. Swallowing is assessed with what you actually eat, at your own table.
What Medicare covers in Missouri.
Will Medicare Part B pay for therapy in my home in St. Charles County?
In most cases it will. Part B treats in-home outpatient therapy the same as therapy delivered in a clinic, and we are enrolled with Medicare as a Part B provider. What matters for coverage is medical necessity, not the address the treatment happens at.
Does the patient need to be homebound?
Not for our Part B service. Being homebound is a condition of the home health benefit, which is a separate programme with separate rules, and the two get confused constantly. You may still drive and leave the house freely. The Part A home health work we do through partner agencies is the part that carries a homebound condition.
Is a physician referral required to get started?
It is not. Call and ask for an evaluation, a coordinator rings back to confirm what your plan covers, and the therapist gets in touch to book the visit. The plan of care goes to your doctor for signature after the evaluation rather than before it.
What does a visit cost?
For Medicare patients the usual out-of-pocket is the standard Part B coinsurance after the annual deductible, and a supplement often absorbs it. Benefits are confirmed and the amount is quoted before the first visit is scheduled. Privately paid, an initial evaluation is $175 and subsequent visits are $125 each.
